Talya Yuzucu

Talya Yuzucu is Potomac's Business Development Associate. She is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in government affairs, energy policy, and international relations.

Prior to joining Potomac International Partners, Talya served as a Government Affairs Associate at TotalEnergies from Nov 2021 to Jan 2023. In this role, she covered US energy policy, climate policy, and foreign policy, providing valuable insights that impacted TotalEnergies' business interests. Before TotalEnergies, Talya worked as a Research Assistant at the International Tax and Investment Center, conducting in-depth research on the investment climate of Central Asian and Eurasian countries.

Talya’s dedication to international relations and business is further highlighted by her experience as a Fellow at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-Turkey Business Council.

Talya also brings editorial expertise from roles such as Energy Reporter at Montel-Foreks, Turkey News Editor at Hürriyet Daily News and Online News Editor at DirectFN, where she translated and edited news stories on political, legal, and social developments in her native Turkey.

Talya holds a MA Degree in International Relations from Bogazici University, in Istanbul, Turkey and a BS degree in Global and International Affairs from SUNY Binghamton in New York. She speaks Turkish, Spanish and Portuguese.
